Russia pummels eastern towns in bid to encircle Ukraine forces as residents continue to flee

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the situation in Donbas and Kkarkiv was "indescribably difficult" after Russian troops captured the strategic town of Lyman and claimed to have surrounded the urban centre of Severodonetsk.
