Dev Shah from Florida wins 2023 Scripps National Spelling Bee

ViewDev Shah, a 14-year-old from Largo, Florida, is the 2023 Scripps National Spelling Bee winner.

The winner was promised $50,000 and the honor of taking home the trophy, among other prizes.

Shah won by spelling the word “psammophile,” correctly.
