Japan's Kyushu island is set to be battered by prolonged and heavy rains following Typhoon Khanun, with the region at risk of flooding and landslides. The event already has forced the city of Nagasaki to change commemorations for this week’s 1945 atomic bombing, traditionally held outdoors, to be held inside instead due to the weather. The typhoon is moving slowly and could bring more heavy rainfall.
