In China’s Calls for Mideast Peace, Hamas Assault Goes Unmentioned
Chinese leader Xi Jinping hosted the president of the Palestinian authority, Mahmoud Abbas, on a state visit in June that established a strategic partnership. Since the start of the recent turmoil in the Middle East, one word has been absent from China’s official statements: “Hamas.”
