US forces 'respond' to attack in Iraq where drone hit pro-Iran group

US forces in Iraq responded to an attack on an Iraq base, causing minor injuries and infrastructure damage. A drone strike also hit a pro-Iran group's vehicle west of Baghdad, resulting in one death. No source has claimed responsibility for the strike. Since the Gaza war, US forces in Iraq and Syria have experienced multiple attacks from pro-Iranian groups. The US official stated that the response to the drone attack was in self-defense. There are approximately 2,500 American troops in Iraq.
