Democratic Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams has slammed her Republican opponent Brian Kemp’s investigation into alleged election hacking by the state’s Democratic party.????On CNN, Abrams called the investigation ”a witch hunt that was created by someone who is abusing his power.”????Kemp’s office made the announcement that Georgia’s democratic party was being investigated for “cyber crimes” after an unknown party attempted to hack the voter registration system.????Earlier, she told CNN’s Jake Tapper:????SOT: “He is desperate to turn the conversation away from his failures, his refusal to honor his commitments, and that he’s a part of a nationwide system of voter suppression that will not work in this election.”????If elected, Abrams would become the first black woman governor in American history.????The race between her and Kemp has been plagued with allegations of voter suppression after a report found that 53,000 voter registration applications were on hold, and that most affected by the hold were African-American and female voters.????Kemp has also been criticized for acting as Georgia’s Secretary of State while running for Governor at the same time.??
