According to Reuters, comedian Kevin Hart will host the next Academy Awards ceremony in February 2019.
Hart made the announcement in social media post on Tuesday.
In his post, Hart wrote, "I am so happy to say that the day has finally come for me to host the Oscars."
Last year in an interview with Variety, Hart expressed his desire to emcee the major TV event, saying, "It would be great to say I had that moment.” The Academy Awards are set to air on ABC on February 24.
