Choppy Seas Persist at Thai Tourist Hotspot as Tropical Storm Passes By
Tourists on the Thai island of Koh Pha-ngan survived the worst of Tropical Storm Pabuk, but strong winds and choppy seas persisted on January 5, as seen in this video from Haad Yuan Beach.
Pabuk tracked south of the main tourist island destinations, such as Kho Samui and Koh Pha-ngan, but continued to bring strong winds and heavy rain to southern Thailand after it was downgraded to a depression and moved out to sea to the west on January 5.
One person died and one was missing after a fishing boat hit rough seas during the storm on January 4.
