Justin Trudeau's Afghan Singing Sensation Doppelganger Hopes for Face-to-Face Meeting
An Afghan talent show contestant, who gained viral fame for his striking resemblance to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, has said that he hopes to meet his doppelganger in person.Abdul Salam Maftoon, a bricklayer and a wedding singer in the remote province of Badakhshan, said that he had never heard of his Canadian counterpart until people began to point out their resemblance following his appearance on the talent show Afghan Star.Speaking to Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, Maftoon said that he thought Trudeau could be his younger brother.“I looked it up on social media, and I was surprised.
I looked at him, I looked at myself.
I found out we have the same face.
And I felt strange.
