House Democrats Push For A New Border Security Plan
According to Politico, House Democrats are drafting a counteroffer to U.S. President Donald Trump that boosts border security — but doesn’t provide new funding for the wall.
Katherine Clark (D-Mass.), vice chair of the House Democratic Conference, confirmed the plans to reporters on Wednesday.
Clark said, “We are hoping to roll that out this week.
That it will be setting forth a path forward out of this, and building on what we have been trying to put forward.”
