The north central health district says it's an effort to better the lives of their patients.
41nbc's rashaad vann got a chance to check out the project at the grand opening today.
The clinic marked its 30th anniversary today, and now provides more services with their expansion.
Dale wrigley: we have over 1,000 clients that we serve currently there are individuals that don't have a medical home and are living with hiv and aid, we are the only service in this entire district 13 counties that actually will see someone regardless of ability to pay.
Vo: director of the hope center, dale wrigley says, they purchased the new facility in an effort to offer additional support to its patients.
Dale wrigley: it is exciting it's a step in the process i am very excited to open those doors and now it's time to get to work and get our clients involved our clients have been involved from the beginning.
Vo: in addition to unveiling the expansion, the hope center has also opened "compass", which the clinic's pharmacy and health innovation center.
Troy short: well i live behind kroger so it's walking distance my mother usually the ride to the doctor's appointment she wants me to be she wants to be involved with it.
Charles klemm: it's wonderful to have this facility here for people to actually come and get what they need and that's been the whole point is trying to find out what the client needs are in the end of the fill those me.
Vo: the new space will also serve as a health innovation site where community members, health educators, and others can develop health programs and give educational presentations.
Dale wrigley: many people still don't have insurance unlimited access and transportation to get to medical appointments and it's in limited medical providers to provide that specialty care that's needed we have that again that we can give.
The center serves those living and affected by hiv and aids providing a comprehensive, personalized approach to treatment that includes medical services, behavioral health services, peer counseling and assistance with housing, and many more... the hope center is located at 180
