Trump Says China Could Delay Trade Deal Until 2020 Election
President Donald Trump has a pessimistic view on reaching a trade deal with China, according to Reuters.
Trump said Beijing may not sign a deal before the November 2020 election in hopes that a Democrat will win.
Lead negotiators for the two countries are expected to meet in Shanghai next week.
Throughout his presidency Trump has levied billions of dollars in tariffs on Chinese imports.
China levied tariffs of its own against U.S. products and together the two countries have disrupted global supply chains.
