Firefighters put out large fire at the tyson fresh meats plant in holcomb kansas.

Officials say a fire started in the box shop of the plant friday night.

Crews spent about 16 hours battling the blaze.

A roof collapse made it difficult for crews to reach certain areas.

There have been no reported injuries out of the 1,200 workers who were at the plant.

No word on what started the fire or the extent of the damages.

An arizona man's antique find leads him on a journey to humboldt, kansas---on a mission to unite a long-lost ancestor with his family.

Edward hennessy found this box at a shop in chandler, arizona about three years ago.

Inside were letters dating back to private first class virgil henry who served in world war two.

Deciding the find belonged with relatives, hennesy began extensive research---leading him to the soldier's family and final resting place.

300 backpacks were given away for free yesterday filled with school supplies at the banner church of the nazarene.

This year the church received donations from walmart and mead brand supplies to help with the back to school bash.

This is the fourth year the banner church of the nazarene has held this event.

With heat indexes increasing lately, the homeless have few options to find relief.

Watered gardens cooling center opens when the heat index reaches triple digits and at 80 or above they have water inside and outside for those that need it.

Cooling centers are the only place of comfort that those living on the streets can find to truly get out of the heat.

Watered gardens is planning on expanding their cooling center as well as building a pavilion out back for shade.
