A New Jersey parent found a suspicious looking item in her child’s Halloween-event haul.
According to Newser, the parent found what appeared to be heroin.
The item was placed in a plastic baggie with a paper inside.
The candy and drug were received at a Trunk or Treat event at the Family Success Center in Middle Township.
Police said the child did not eat the substance but warned parents to always check children’s treats.
