The hunger for more..
The harrison football program won its first sectional title in 24 years last fall..
Now the raiders are looking to win their second in as many years..
But if terry peebles and company want to repeat they'll have to take down rival mccutcheon.
For the first time since 19-92..
Harrison and mccutcheon to square off for a sectional championship.
The raiders beat the mavs and went on to win a state title that year.
The raiders als beat the mavs this year with ease 42-14..
That was back on october 4th..
This is now..
Peebles' group knows it will have to come ready to play if it wants to go back-to-back.
Terry peebles: well i think it's always difficult when you play a team for a second time.
It's probably a little easier when you're playing against your arch rivals because you know you're kids are going to be up for it.
Obviously there's a lot at stake.
But we know they are good.
They've won six out of their last seven games.
In that span they're averaging over 38 points a game and giving up less than 14.
Our kids know what we're getting into, they've watched the film.
They know it's going to be a fight, and hopefully we are prepared.
Marcell atisso: for the program it's a big game every year because if we beat them, we have bragging rights for a whole year.
And me growing up with it.
It's just a big thing when like every time i came here to watch them play, there was just a big crowd every time.
Andtas just exciting t, especi en they wo nce that one-sided f 4th.
Ken frauhiger and mccutcheon have won three straight games by an average of 32.5 points..
Tomorrow's rematch is more than just bragging rights..
The mavericks are aiming for their first sectional crown in 20 years.
Frauhiger owns a 9-8 career record against the raiders..
But the mavs have lost the last two meetings..
They're looking to swing the rivalry back in their favor..
And capture that elusive sectional championship.
Ken frauhiger: you know they kind of handled us and then we went through a period where we kind of handled them.
And now they have won the last two.
And we'd like to break that a little bit.
I mean it's a lot of fun.
It's why you coach.
It's why you get up in the summer, it's why you get up in the morning and go do the things you need to do.
It's just fun.
Mason douglas: this week the amplitutde definitely went up.
Like in practice if you didn't watch out here, like everything is faster, quicker, people want t hit each other harder.
And we just know we have to do more to beat them.
We have to be more physcial, and we have to be more sound, fundamentally sound.
That's a wrap for sports.
