Former President Bill Clinton rejected the claim as an “excuse.” Attorney General William Barr said the Trump administration wants to introduce gun control proposals.

According to Politico, Bar said the plan was “sidetracked because of the impeachment process on the Hill.” But Clinton said his administration continued to make legislative progress as he faced impeachment.
