Natural sound: rhonda: today students saw the final, the published copy of their books.

And i saw them with them for the first time as well.

So it's a really exciting evening and of course i just felt honored to be a part of it.

Natural sound: on three i want to hear you say ye words.

One, two, 3 "ye words".

Tama: and so in eight years we have gotten 600 and now 12 published riders.

In nashville tennessee and in chattanooga.

You know it is a program that celebrates children's creativity.

Do you know if you're not creative, you are not going to grow.

If you're not, if you don't think outside of the box and take a chance you are not going to excel.

And so this program is to teach kids that they, but they are important enough to sit down for a whole month and do nothing but write and think about their words.

Natural sound: the fact that you parents allow film to do it and then saw that it was such an important project to undertake, clap for yourselves because so many people just don't get it.

Samuel: well i am so proud of her because she started and finished.

There were times when she got a little discouraged but she hung in there.

So we are really proud of her especially since this is her second effort.

Natural sound: all right congratulations!

Thank you so much.

Bye-bye.

Sarah: so for my first book i already knew what i wanted to do.

But for this one it was an entire new clean slate.

So i started over from scratch and had absolutely nothing to work with unlike my first one.

Natural sound: rhonda: we had 12 students that participated.

Three of them are returning students.

So three of the students just, three of the students received their second novel.

Amelia: stressful!

I was really nervous.

I just can't believe it's done.

I mean it looks amazing awesome.

Tama: this is a night kids won't forget.

You know they are highlighted for themselves.

And in an individual personal way that they may never be highlighted before again.

And it just makes me very, very, very happy.
