Quarantine --- it's a harsh reality that more and more of us are experiencing.

Kezi 9 news reporter jillian smukler spoke with a local family who has been isolated for almost two weeks now.

She asked about their experience --- and theire hope for tomorrow.

Kellie jussel has been quarantined for almost two weeks...first in the hospital and now at home with her family.

It started with a dry cough... an one hundred and three degree fever... and difficulty breathing.

But despite all the similarities to covid-19... her tests came back negative.

Doctor's told her to quarantine with her family out of an abudance of caution.

"i feel like im doing the right thing."

Kellie says even though she doesn't have the virus it is better to be safe than sorry.

"i have young ones to think about a six year old grandson...and a thirteen year old grandaughter and a sixty five year old husband and they depend on me and if i get sick then i cant take care of them."

Kellie is being quarantined with her family...including her husband who is in the risk group for the virus.

"how is it being here quarantined with him...worrying about him worrying about your own health i mean what emotions do you feel everyday when you wake up during this time?

My husband has heart disease...diabetes...kidney diesase...he is very high risk actegory and we are all quaratined here so we are following as many protocols as closely as we can."

She says despite all the restrictions...the time they've been able to spend together has changed her life forever.

Kellie, "foruntanetely spending time in quarantine has been as beneficial as its been frustrating."

Bridge: kellie tells me she is motivated to do everything in her power to keep her family and herself positive through it all.

She says quarantining themselves in this house has brought them closer than ever before.

"we have had so much fun."

Serenity, "in the beginning we were all three of us we will be together and hangout but we are not that close...we got closer we learned how to understand each other a lot more."

And with her grandma's constant positive attitude....everyone says they will come out stronger than ever before.
