Some starkville restaurants are saying no to inside dining even though the governor allowed them to have 10 people or less.

Wtvas nicole dantzler joins us live in starkville with the businesses that are taking extra precaution.

Some restaurants are keeping their strict no dining- in policy in place.

Just tuesday night governor tate reeves signed an executive order..allowing restaurants to have 10 people or less inside.

Two business managers say that's not a good idea for right now.

He said his business took a hard hit during the coronavirus pandemic..

And as a result he had to let go 90 percent of his staff.

"serious decline in sales.

We cut 90% of our staff and have 3 people working right now."

Herbert said customers can only do curbside pickups or delivery orders.

Even though the governor allowed restaurants to have inside dining with 10 people or less, herbert said the restaurant will continue to ban inside dining.

((sot)) "we feel that curbside is the best to protect our employees and our staff and to protect the customers as well.

So that's what we're going to go with for now."

General manager of nine twenty nine coffee jonette shurden said the restaurant will continue to ban inside dining too.

((sot)) "we don't want to incur that fine."

Jonette shurden- general manager, nine twenty nine coffee she said they only allow call in or walk up orders until this is all over.

Both kiel and jonette say they cant wait until business is back to normal.
