This year places of worship are recognizing those holidays much differently.

News 18's meredith hackler spoke with local religious leaders about how they are adapting during the covid-19 pandemic.

People who practice religion are relying on their faith now more then ever.

"people are really aching and yearning for some sense of community and not feeling isolated."- michael harvey, rabbi "people are turning to their faith in a way they probably haven't in a long time."-robby bradford lead pastor, river city church but with stay the home order in effect... neither passover or easter will be celebrated traditionally.

"this has been difficult to get use to not seeing our friends and our members not being able to experience that community in person."- michael harvey, rabbi "we just never envisioned that this would be all that we are doing."-robby bradford lead pastor, river city church however faith leaders are still bringing their sermons to followers of faith virtually.

"i'm really seeing an increase in people logging in to our live stream services."- michael harvey, rabbi "we've been connecting with people just avidly through social media."-robby bradford lead pastor, river city church and even though the future may seem unclear..

Religious organizations hope people will use this time in our world to reflect.
