Watch: Why social distancing is a distant dream in Chandigarh's slum

Days after the Chandigarh administration imposed a lockdown to contain the spread of novel coronavirus disease, the police have still not been able to implement the curfew in the city’s peripheral areas.

The Police PRO refuses to acknowledge the breach of curfew saying everyone follows the norms. In absence of police local panch, leaders take up the job to maintain the social distancing, often carrying sticks in hands.

These leaders say that they themselves don’t have any gloves or means of protection.
