At 8:20 (or 20:20 in 24-hour time) stadium lights around Oregon were turned on for 20 minutes to honor seniors whose school years were cut short.

The o-s-a-a announced it would be canceling the spring season.

For the seniors, this meant they couldn't go out on their own terms. but around oregon, when those senior athletes might consider it a dark time, schools are deciding instead to be the light.

(topic key) stadiums around oregon are that light.

At 8:20, or 20:20 in 24-hour time, the stadium lights at spigelberg stadium and other sports fields shown brightly for 20 minutes and 20 seconds.

The idea is to honor those seniors whose classroom rights will remain off for the rest of the year.

Klamath union's principal saying, quote, it's a message of hope and support.

We want our students to know they are in our hearts and minds, end quote.

So every friday, at 20:20, the lights for athletic stadiums will be on, honoring the seniors who's senior years will be unlike anyone's before them or after them, and asking all of us... to be the light.
