As most kentucky communities are practicing social distancing..

Some people are throwing away the idea of flattening the curve..

By protesting to r?open the state.

Governor andy beshear had strong words in regards to that statement.

There's some noise in the background.

We do have some folks up here in kentucky today that believe we should reopen kentucky right now.

Folks, that would kill people.

It would absolutely kill people.

The bluegrass state has seen over 100 deaths so far..

13 of them coming from right here in the kentucky portion of the tr?state.

Hopkins county became the first local area to eclipse 100 confirmed cases while also seeing their death toll rise higher than any other tr?

State county.

"go back two weeks ago, and you're one of the 101 individuals that are positive.

Say it's 10 people it's over a thousand people that could potentially have the virus or are self quarantining."

Kentuckians are in harms way, and we are doing everything we can to help them.

Despite the protests outside the capitol..
