Guidelines to reopen the country proposed by the President today would be broken into three phases.

About the guidelines.

Within the phases, there are guidelines for individuals and employers on how to stay safe.

Those i spoke with say the last thing they want is to jump back into a normal routine too fast.

A brewery is really made by the people, so not having a lot of people in this place is sad to see.

It really is.

Isolation in the workplace has become the new norm for rocket republic brewing and other breweries around north alabama.

Austen webber says having new federal guidelines is helping them along a very uncharted path.

Do we see the light yet?

I'm not sure, but i think the way to finally navigate through this tunnel and slowly start to reopening is something that started today.

Phase one of the plan still includes many restrictions, including prohibiting bars and schools from reopening.

It would allow large venues like movie theaters and sit down dining to resume under social distancing guidelines.

Phase two opens up bars and gyms among other venues, including schools and churches, as long as social distancing rules are followed.

However, districts we spoke with like huntsville city and madison county said they will continue their blended learning programs unless they hear differently from montgomery.

Craig williams, spokesman, huntsville city schools we are following the guidance of our state superintendent, dr. eric mackey.

He has been a tremendous leader during this time and we will continue to call upon both him and his team at the alabama state department of education down in montgomery as far as what that will look like for k-12 education.

Phase 3 lets places like rocket republic be open with limited social distancing rules.

Webber says they don't want to rush into reopening.

They want to make sure everyone stays safe.

And yet... austen webber, head brewer, rocket republic brewing co.

We just want to be open.

We're just so looking forward to being open again.

Governor kay ivey has a committee working this week to determine what reopening the economy on a state level should look like.

They're expected to provide an update to her sometime tomorrow.
