And the frankfort native and clinton central graduate is already hard at work for his college alma mater.

Young's check list mostly consists of ensuring athletes around the university are taken care of during the pandemic..

He's now in the process of finding a new men's basketball coach..

Young's journey has been anything but ordinary..

Young is thankful for his family's support after making the decision to leave the athletic training field to pursue another athletics dream..

Scott young: to take that leap of faith to go into to coaching baseball, there's been a lot of parents that wouldn't have been supportive with the decision of not totally throwing away your degree but stepping away from something that you've worked for four or five years to accomplish.

To take on a whole leap of faith and take the chances and just the support along the way, when you get started in athletics it's usual to start at the bottom of most departments very similar to my career path there's times when you don't make a great deal of funds, and it's a challenge to navigate through those early waters to get the opportunities that we get later on in our careers so just having that family support to go through that is very very
