The Maverick Baseball Program Featured 11 Seniors

Entire schedule is crossed off ..

High school spring sporting events are canceled as a result of coronavirus ..

And that means 11 mccutcheon senior baseball careers are over ..

But that doesn't mean we can't acknowledge the class ..

We lead off with russell kingma ..

Kingma played infield and pitched for the mavs.

He will attend purdue ..

Mason douglas to attend purdue fort wayne ..

Douglas will play baseball for the dons ..

Lane clevenger caught and pitched for mccutcheon ..

Clevenger is headed to eastern michigan ..

Next up: jon shambaugh ..

Shambaugh wants to study finance in college ..

A star tennis player ..

Shambaugh pitched and was a first baseman.

Garrett maish will join mason douglas at purdue fort wayne ..

Maish's favorite memory is hitting a grand slam against jeff at loeb stadium.

That brings us to tyler lathrop ..

The third baseman drove in 12 rbis his junior year ..

Marshall crum's favorite memory is winning the n-c-c title in 20-19 ..

Crum will attend purdue ..

Jayden shuman shares the same memory as crum ..

The second baseman wants to study criminal justice ..

Jackson williams to major in sports marketing at indiana tech ..

He'll play baseball for the warriors as well.

Tucker loft to pursue computer science at indiana state ..

Rounding out this year's class ..

Brady cass..

Kas suffered a career-ending concussion in 20-18 ..

But he has continued to help the program ..

Quite a story.

Kas will attend i-u-p- u-i for sports management.

Those are the 11 seniors ..

They were suppose to play for mccutcheon graduate tristan mcintyre ..

The first-year head coach of the mavericks knows the future of his program is in good hands because of the class of 2020..

Tristan mcintyre: they made this program better, without even a season this year.

Just what they put in, kind of returning that work ethic in this program that you know what, we're invested september, december, july whatever it is, that you know what, that's going to go a long way and as much as it hurts right now you'll look back at it, five, ten years from now and feel good about what you did for this program.

I will be forever grateful for this group for kind of getting that going for me as a first year coach.
