Sweetgreen Plans to Return $10 Million Stimulus Loan The popular salad chain was originally given the loan as part of the U.S. Paycheck Protection Program.

The $349 billion stimulus package ran out of funding last week, leaving many small businesses outraged.

According to an open letter from Sweetgreen co-founders Nicolas Jammet, Jonathan Neman and Nathaniel Ru, Sweetgreen "quickly made the decision to return the loan" after learning about the issues with the program.

Sweetgreen, via open letter Popular fast-food chain Shake Shack also returned its stimulus loan earlier this week.
