The ymca of douglas county is facing some uncertainty about when they'll reopen their doors since closing in march.

Before coronavirus hit, cathy manchester spent five days a week at the y.
But, like many others, she's been stuck at home, since the governor issued her stay at home order.
It been really hard.
And i know it not been hard just for me.
I know it hard for everybody?

And staff at the ymca of douglas county say theye doing everything they can to make sure these halls are filled with their members very soon?
If and when the executive order is lifted, membership director amber gries says they're unsure how long it will take to reopen.
She says the ymca has been hit hard by the pandemic.
Theye had to lay off most of their employees and theye finding creative ways to cut costs.

But she says theye also resuming limited activities& as a way of moving forward.?wee opened our doors to the red cross to be a blood donation center, and wee going to be getting our river rescue stations up and running early this year?
Gries says she confident the ymca will reopen again&?i do love the y.
And i know so many people&and i want to see my friends at the y?
For members like manchester... walking back through these doors can't come soon enough.
