Oneida County releases reopening flow chart

Oneida County Executive Anthony Picente discussed the outline for reopening during his press conference Thursday.

That flow chart.

At the top.... develop the advisory councils....and move forward with reopening....which needs a communicaion plan....and risk assessment.

Newschannel two's jason powles is standing by with the details.

Kristen good evening.

The open plan can be broken down to two major divisions....public health and economic...all the while the county and the region for that matter must constantly be aware of the risk assessments and communication....in other words, we still have to make sure we are looking after the vulnerable populations as well as be ready for any spikes that may occur...also...each county must communicate the plan on a daily basis.

Now as for the reopening plan, its broken down into two subdivisions....public health first and foremost... the six sections on your screen must all follow the cdc guidelines... oneida county already has a dashboard with numbers updated daily...and the two big focuses are tracing and testing capacity...both on a regional level... the under the economic umbrella...the all important phased openings...one through four and they follow the governor's plan.

We have those on our website wktv.com.

County executive anthony picente said each business will have all the pieces they need to put in place so they have a list of best practices and compliances for a safe and practical reopening.

This is really an overview of what our plan looks like it will be replicated in similar fashion throughout all of the counties...so each county can put those groups together...businesses and health and local governments...each county needs to steer their destiny and we can still continue to work as a region.
