The gun battle took place on Friday night in Pardhoni village under Manpur Police Station limits.
Incident happened when a team of security forces was out on counter-insurgency operation.

One AK-47 rifle, 1 SLR weapon and two 315 bore rifles were recovered.
Reinforcement was rushed to the spot and bodies of the martyred cop and Naxals were evacuated out of the forest.
