Huntsville Business Not Concerned About Looting

Here in Huntsville, businesses have not been looted or damaged due to protests and the manager of one business tells us she doesn't expect that to change.

Nationwide protests.

New at six -- here in huntsville -- businesses have not been looted or damaged due to protests.

The manager of one business off university drive tells us she doesn't expect that to change.

Waay31's megan reyna joins us live outside - zenzele consignment.

The owner believes we should be focusing on the true messages behind these protests.

Aisha fields actually started this business so she could give back to her community -- and celebrate african culture and heritage by selling authentic african clothes and accessories.

She supports these protests and rallies -- and doesn't think anyone is going to cause trouble here.

Fields says:"we don't anticipate any type of issues like that."

Zenzele consignment is a non-profit store-- donating to an organization called all african development and empowerment project.

Fields says:"we're a part of, i think an international movement of black people, in particular who are working around economic issues that allow our businesses to serve as resource centers for the community."

Aisha fields says its unlikely people from our community are going to destroy a business that serves them.

When i asked her about looting -- fields says:"the real looters are the people who took 2 trillion dollars from the united states government, the corporations who didn't need it, the small businesses needed the money, the everyday person who may have gotten 1200 dollars needed the money, no the corporations who already have millions of dollars at their exposure."

Fields says it's important people continue to speak out against police brutality -- and demand change.

Fields says:"i don't see anything that looks like justice so i support the protest, fully 100 percent, unconditionally and i say keep on going."

This store also serves as a meeting place for people wanting to volunteer and get involved in advocacy.
