Where the event is scheduled to take place in about 12 hours from now.

Rodneya-- what can we expect today?

We talked to the president of the local naacp who is organizing the protest.

He told us he doesn't know how many people will show up today but he expects the protest to be peaceful.

On monday -- more than 700 people gathered in downtown huntsville to protest george floyd's death -- and law enforcement expects another large crowd to gather tonight.

Jerry burnet with the huntsville madison county naacp told us the video of george floyd being killed by minnesota police officers is disgusting and that's why they're protesting.

They hope the protest sparks change and drives people to vote.

In order to change policies, we're going to have to change political leaders."

We do know law enforcement plans to be present at the protest just as they were on monday.

The protest is scheduled to be here at the park from five to eight tonight.
