Facilities across oregon have been instructed to keep their restrictions in place&despite moving into phase two today.

Kezi 9 news reporter evita garza shows us how one facility in roseburg is looking ahead& even though can make any changes just yet.

Trt: 1:37 as certain businesses celebrate re- opening in phase two&things are staying the same at riverview terrace in roseburg.

00:06 patty koch, executive director, riverview terrace: yes.

Wee still restricting our visiting.

Wee still doing our social distancing?

Care facilities don apply to phase two& as they follow separate guidelines laid down by the department of human services.

That means visitors are still not allowed inside&and residents must continue to shelter in place.

The only people allowed inside the building are essential workers, the staff, medical personnel, stuff like that?

Executive director patty koch tells me this is because the state is stricter on senior communities&as they are they most vunerable to the virus.

Dozens of senior citzens have died from covid-19 in oregon.

As of today... there are 11 assisted care facilities with confirmed cases throughout the state.

00:51 evita:?even though long-term facilities were left out of the phase two plan, koch says she looking forward to the day they can reopen... as she feels like her facility is more than ready??the dining room.

Wee already placed everything at a safe distance.

And wee ready.

But we do have to wait until we get that guidance so we know it safe?

Koch tells me they haven received any word for d-h-s as to when they may welcome visitors into their building.

But, she says she is very grateful for all the residents and families who have been understanding during this time.?it just good to have residents who care for each other.

Who are taking care of each other?
