Wabash welcome back... welcome back... the wabash valley has produced a lot of incredible baseball talent, one of the best to ever come out the area is calling it a career... brady shoemaker is retiring from baseball.....he's spent the last three years playing independent baseball with the saint paul saints in minnesota... he was drafted in 2009 in the 19th round by the white sox...he spent time in chicago's and miami's minor league systems, making it as high as triple-a..... he was an incredible right handed slugger that could hit for average and power...he was an all-star numerous times and won multiple home run derby's.... shoemaker was a two-time all-american at olney central before moving to indiana state...he earned all-conference as a sycamore.... he was a standout at northview helping the knights win the schools very first baseball regional title in 2005... in 2006 he was a key member of one of the best basebal teams ever from the wabash valley, in the world series
