Just after 9:30 a.m.

Monday, Fort Wayne Police Department Officers were called to the Goodwill at 3101 E State Blvd.

Regarding a man who just stole a Goodwill Truck.

A bizarre chain of events in fort wayne this morning after police say a man stole a goodwill truck..and took a woman hostage.fox 55's jeremy masukevich gives us a recap of the robbery.

It all started here at this goodwill on east state blvd where police say a man carjacked a donation truck.we were told another person may have been inside the truck when it was stolen and that the stolen truck also hit another vehicle on its way out the lot.

Fort wayne police responded around nine thirty this morning but the stolen truck was already gone.they caught up to the truck at the corner of hobson road and vance avenue after it crashed into a city link bus.

Police say the suspect got out and tried to carjack another vehicle using a fire extinguisher but the driver fended him off.officers say they found him on eastwood drive with a woman he'd taken hostage.police say he screamed at officers to kill him while holding the woman by the neck and while he eventually let her go they say they used bean bag rounds and tasers to eventually get him to drop the extinguisher and take him into custody.sot sofia so we were just getting various calls as this progressed from people who were out and about so that really helped narrow down where he was until we caught up with him.

They were just about to approach him when he took the woman hostage.

So we were on to where he was it was just a matter of getting there.

Fort wayne police arrested 34-year-old rue miller of huntington.miller faces armed robbery, felony theft, kidnapping, resisting law enforcement, and more charges.fwpd say no one was injured during the incident.in fort wayne, jeremy masukevich, fox 55 news fort wayne police say the robbery is still an active investigation.we reached out to both goodwill and city link looking for an update on the damage done to the vehicles involved..but were unable to
