three women shot

one overnight one sunday afternoon

Three women have been shot in lexington today...two overnight.

Lexington police say they found a woman shot around 12-30 on smith street between fourth and fifth streets.

They say a few minutes later another woman showed up at a hospital with a gunshot wound...they believe from the same shooting.

Investigators are trying to figure out what led up to the shootings.

So far, no arrests.

Then this afternoon around two...lexington police say they answered a "shots fired" call i the 3700-block of camelot drive and found a car with multiple bullet holes and blood at the scene.

They say a short time later a woman showed-up at u-k hospital suffering from a gunshot wound.

Her name wasn't released.
