Southsiders turning their shared frustrations into unified action on this saturday, thanks for joining us tonight i'm ron johnson.

Many of those impacted by this week's flash flood aren't happy that to date they haven't recieved recovery assistance or a clear answer as to who should take the blame for all of the damage.

Today they met in search of answers <<ron johnson reporting searching for answers, while uniting as one communitythe main goal is to come together as a community to get rebuilt, still in the midst of cleaning up five days after a flash flood destroyed their neighborhood, southside residents met up to start the process of moving forward, including addressing concerns they have about some of the factors they say led to the flooding.

There's a few reasons that bring us here, we're just gathering here to find out details, find out what people have and that information, and then the other concern is the sewers.

Flood victims said they have major concerns about their sewer system, they say it failed to properly drain all the excess water.

They say that's likely why so many homes were impacted even though they were several blocks away from the creek where the flooding started.

We had more water then they did on over on that side, still devastating for everyonethey say they feel negligence of that sewers system played a big part in the severity of the floodingthis is people not doing what they should be doing, not doing their job, not clearing out the debris not doing that kind of stuff.

We pay outrageous sewer bills, and the fact that the sewers didn't drain and they've been contacted many times about cleaning the sewer system is concerning too.

The community sending a message to local governing bodies they feel are responsible, saying they won't easily be moved.

If anybody knows anything about the southside we have a lot of pride we want to rebuild it, we don't want to be washed out.>> there were about a hundred and fifty to two hundred people at this morning's meeting, those residents also say they plan to be at the next city council meeting scheduled
