On campus activities suspended after positive test

I'm marie waxel.

And i'm pat simon.

You're taking a live look at our huntsville tower cam as huntsville high is closed for cleaning after someone at the school tested positive for coronavirus.

Waay31's sierra phillips is live there now.

Sierra, this isn't the first time someone associated with the school has tested positive, right?

Exactly, this comes just 24- hours after we learned a second person connected to the school's football team tested positive.

According to a letter we obtained from a parent, huntsville city schools didn't say if the most recent case is a student, teacher or staff member but they did say the last time they were on campus was july 24th.

The letter states that all on campus activities are suspended until 10:30 this morning while the campus is cleaned.

This news comes right after waay31 found out someone associated with the football team recently tested positive.

We're told practice is resuming aside from those who are in self quarantine and precautions are being taken.

The district says everyone who came into contact with the most recent case was notified and should self quarantine until august 7th.
