Owensboro Homicide Victim's Girlfriend Speaks Out on the Crime

A 15-year-old boy was shot and killed while riding a moped down West Fifth Street in Owensboro, and the girlfriend of the victim spoke to 44 News about the tragedy.

Owensboro police are still looking for the person --- who ot and killed a 15 year old boy.

44news reporter jake thomas is live tonight -- after speaking with the victim's girlfriend.

The owensboro police responded to a shots fired call right here on west 5th street on saturday night, and when they arrived, they found a 15 year old boy dead at the scene.

Teenager corban henry was found dead on the road when police arrived to the 1500 block of west fifth street.

Witnesses to the crime say that corban and a friend were riding down west 5th street on a moped when the suspect began firing at them.

The driver of the moped was left unharmed, but corban suffered a single gunshot wound.

And corbans girlfriend, 15 year old () spoke about how tragic the loss is.

Neighbors on the scene rushed out to the streets as soon as the shots were heard, and when they arrived, they saw the victim flee on foot.

And that suspect is still at large.

Detectives are still investigating and they ask that anyone with additional information on the crime contact opd or if they like to remain anonymous, they can do so by leaving a tip with crime stoppers.

Evansville police-- are actively investigating a homicide-- after finding a body found on north main street monday.

Police say the victim-- 56-year- old burk jones of evansville was found around three p- m outside of a building near main and east michigan avenue.

Police are looking for suspects the coroner preforming an autopsy today-- if you have any information--
