Food banks across northeast indiana are looking for help.

New data from feeding america shows there could be a 50 percent increase in families who identify as food dependant.

All are looking for as many donations as possible...and with some counties seeing double... even triple the amount of families looking for help..now they're looking for more volunteers.

Sometimes... even more.just last weekend we had 1100 families come on saturday and thats just a couple hours in the morning distributing 90k poundsand the number could grow.food insecurity rate in ne in is gonna rise about half what it was beforethe statistic from feeding america shows what food banks across northeast indiana are dealing with.savoie says she knows some pantrys struggling to keep up with demand... some fearful of closing down.and covid made an already high number in northeast indiana even higher.probabyl close to one in eight didnt know where the next meal is coming from now its 1/5but she says there is some good happening here.a walk around the complex by ceo john wolf show the partnerships and donations have been continuing to come in.corn from garrett... watermelons from dekalb county... cans and dry goods sitting in docks or in kits waiting for be handed off.
