Starkville computers workers say laptops are flying off the shelves during the pandemic.

As the school year gets underway..it may be harder to meet the demand.

Thomas mcclean is a starkville computers assistant engineer.

He said laptops are in high demand..

Especially for students.

"they are going faster now.

Definitely when students started coming in, we saw a difference in how fast they were leaving."

Thomas mcclean-assistant engineer, starkville computers mcclean said workers are doing all they can to keep the devices in stock, but it seems that customers are always looking for an affordable computer.

"we're getting more in just as they come.

It's kind of difficult to keep them in stock and keep the laptops that everybody wants."

Mcclean said macbooks are the most popular device..but one of the biggest problems is the shipping time for parts.

"they'll tell us it'll be here next week and then sometimes we'll notice it gets delayed a week or two when it gets to us.

We're not really sure where it's happening at."

Mcclean said even before students went back to school they sold out of laptops quickly.
