We have decided to continue work on identified defence industrial area and military to military cooperation." "I have invited the French defence manufacturers to invest in defence corridors in India," Defence Minister added.

Air Force Day 2020: Rafale & other jets showcase prowess in air display

The Indian Air Force celebrated its 88th anniversary with a grand parade and scintillating air display at the Hindon Air Base in Ghaziabad. The event was attended by Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat, Army Chief MM Naravane and Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Karambir Singh. IAF Chief Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria inspected the parade which was followed a majestic air display. The highlight of the air show this time around was the newly inducted Rafale jets which took part in the air display. The Rafale flew in the 'Vijay' formation, flanked by two Jaguars and Mirage 2000 each. It also carried out a minimum radius turn within an area smaller than a hockey field forming a figure of eight. The Air Force Day is celebrated to mark the day the IAF was established in 1932. Wishes poured in for the IAF from across the political spectrum with President Kovind and PM Modi leading the way. India is celebrating 88th anniversary of the Indian Air Force (IAF) on October 08. Grand celebrations began at Hindon airbase in UP's Ghaziabad. Rafale fighter jet carried out a minimum radius turn within an area smaller than a hockey field forming a figure of eight, on the 88th IAF day, at Hindon airbase. Indian Air Force fighter jet carried out vertical charlie manoeuvre at Hindon Air Base in Ghaziabad, as IAF celebrates its 88th anniversary today. Flares fired by the Eklavya formation including Apache and Mi-35 attack helicopters at the Hindon Air Base in Ghaziabad. IAF was established on October 8, 1932, under colonial rule. It was given the prefix 'Royal' by King George VI for its contribution during the Second World War. The prefix was later dropped in 1950 when India became a republic.

A farmer died during the BJP’S tractor rally in support of the new farm laws in Ambala. DSP Anil Kumar said that Bharat Singh's son blamed intentional pushing and shoving during the tractor rally to be the cause of the farmer's death. A case has been registered under sections 302, 341, 148, 149, and 120 B of the Indian Penal Code. The BJP has alleged that some protesters linked to the Congress party had climbed the tractor, were hitting people with sticks and also pelting stones at the tractors. The BJP’s rally comes weeks after Congress leader Rahul Gandhi held a tractor rally against the farm related laws passed by the Modi government calling them anti-farmers. Woman shot dead in Ballabhgarh: Accused held, politics peaks l Latest updates

Police on Tuesday arrested two men for allegedly killing a 21-year-old woman outside her college in Haryana's Ballabhgarh, a murder which triggered protests with students and local residents blocking the road to Sohna. The two men were produced before a court in Faridabad district and sent to two-day police remand. A special investigation team has been formed to ensure a quick probe into the case, Haryana's Home Minister Anil Vij said. The accused, who arrived at the spot in a car, had tried to pull the woman inside, in a bid to abduct her, but she resisted after which the key accused shot her, police had said. She was taken to a hospital, but she succumbed to injuries, the ACP had said. During the investigation, it emerged that the main accused was the woman's classmate earlier, police said. Haryana Minister Vij said the accused has connections in Congress due to which the pressure mounted on the victim's family to withdraw their complaint earlier in 2018.
