You want to protect yourself, you want to make sure you're not compromised, but if everyone's connecting with their computer to a school network, you're all sharing and you're all interrconnect ed.

You're not just protecting yourself, youre protecting the other students that are using the services some of this information might be more difficult for a really young student to comprehend.

Explain to young kids to never open an email that's not from their teacher without checking with a parent or teacher first.
