To find out if their homes are still standing.

Matt and renee-- the urban search and rescue team confirms 315 structures have been destroyed inside the fire lines.

But people have been coming to this parking lot in walterville asking the sheriff's office when they can fo beyond the road block.

The urban search and rescue team has searched over 400 structures.

They are making their way west and today they are assesing the damage in blue river.

So the number of structures destroyed dosen't even include the devestation in blue river.

For many people here waiting in walterville... they say they are in a limbo.

It kind of a puzzle to us that wee not allowed to go father at this point but i understand getting closer to where the real damage occurred, that would be very unsafe.

She says she knows her house is okay..

But she can't say the same about her neighbors.

Lane county is finalizing a process on how to release damage assesements and get into contact with property owners.
