Remington school building vote set

On Sept.

29, a vote will be held on the Remington school building purchase proposal.

Adult nursing students are getting an education there.

60 adults are working to become l-p-n's.

Because of coronavirus.

They're divided into groups of eight to 11.....and expanded into the classrooms and offices of the school building on east north street.

The program coordinator acknowledges the challenging year....but says the building made it possible to continue.

In november, ilion residents voted in favor of selling the old school to boces for one dollar.

But the sale still needs voter approval from residents in all of its component school districts.

That's the vote planned for september 29th.
