Firefighters help Salvation Army

Firefighters will be g c1 3 getting some help with its toy drive this year.

No... it's not santa.

L3: abc 36 news white firefighters partner with salvation army for toy drive the fraternal order of firefighters says it will work with the salvation army this year to help get toys to hundreds of lexington children.

The organization says it joined with the salvation army because of covid-19 pandemic concerns.

In year's past... parents were able to come and choose toys for their children.

But the f-o-f says that can't happen because of the pandemic.... pointing out it served more than 2,000 children last year.

Instead...families who usually participate in the toy drive will be directed to sign with the salvation army for the angel tree program the f-o-f says it will use donated toys to supplement the angel tree program.
