What prompted you to decide to make a run for mayor?

Well, i was elected 14 years ago, same time as current mayor tom stiehm, and i've enjoyed working with him.

He's done a great job.and i had been thinking about it.

I guess that's, ran two years ago for the at large seat and figured if he ever chose not to run again that i would run.

I've really enjoyed myself.

I just have that certain drive, i think, to give it a whirl.

I love to serve austin.

I was hoping to serve it in a little bit different capacity than i did in the second ward.

Much as i enjoyed my second ward time, i just thought it was good timing to look at a run for the mayor.
