Early voting begins in New York

Pollsters say lines were literally out the door at many locations.

Out to the polls.

Early voting has begun across new york state, and locally, many were eager to cast their ballots.

Lines werelt several voting locations.

Newschannel 2's brent kearney spoke to people in line at some of these locations.

"i've seen lines on tv, but i've never seen them in new york."

Across the state polling places are reporting record in person voter turnout.

Including here in oneida county .

I've been at the town of new hartford building from about 10'o clock this morning.."

Outside, voters waiting for over two hours to make sure their voice is heard.

Not one i spokeo concerned about voti inperson.

So what do you do while you're waiting, some are on their phones others read a book.

"i think its important for everybody to vote.

I know who i'm voting for an even if someone inst voting who i'mvotis important."

"alot of thethings and the daily things that we worry about are directly affected by whether you vote or not.

Even if things dont go my way i can always be comforted in knowing that i at least spoke for myself."
