The BMW Group now offers the world's largest selection of premium cars with an electrified drive system.
There are 21 electrified models (Full Electric and Plug-in Hybrid) and 71 with 48-volt mild hybrid technology available on the Italian market.
With a ten-year sustainability plan, the BMW Group underlines its commitment to the goals of the Paris climate agreement, focusing primarily on expanding electric mobility.
Today, BMW and MINI brands with all-electric and plug-in hybrid propulsion systems already account for around 13.3 percent of all new registrations across Europe (source: IHS Markit New Registrations Report July 2020).
This corresponds to 1.5 times the average share of all brands, which is around 8%.
The Group expects this figure to rise to a quarter by 2021, to a third by 2025 and to 50% by 2030.
