Halloween weekend - a popular time for students in chico, so what is in the works?

Sophia benveniste/chico state student: "i'm just going to be hanging out with my friends& maybe going to some parties."

Parties!

But with coronavirus still spreading& handling parties could be a tough task.

"i think there's probably more cops this year than&like&just roaming around trying to keep people safe and things because of the extra precautions of covid-19" and&she's right.

Matt dillon/chief of university police: "the dynamics are different and how is that going to manifest itself?

I think there is a lot of unknown so all we can do&we are adding additional officers.

We already did last night and through the weekend for possible additional calls so we can handle those the best we can."

Matt dillon&the chief of university police&hopes students keep in mind the impact they could have on the health of the chico community.

"well obviously students want to have fun, they want to have a good time...but they need to be responsible not only for themselves but with a broader aspect to their impact on the community."

Carmela karcher: "the chief of the university police is also advising students to keep their distance and wear their masks.

In chico, carmela karcher, action news now, coverage you can count on."
